"Planting for Picky Eaters" Webinar
Online/Virtual
Public Welcome Limited Access Recording Paid Event Program/Speaker Presentation
Tomorrow!
Meet Katrina Loewy, as she presents our first webinar of the season!
Over their evolutionary histories, insects have become tightly woven with the plants they rely on for food and shelter. As a result, herbivorous insects can only survive on a small subset of available plants. We'll dive into relationships between Colorado native insects and their host plants and talk about how you can best manage your garden to support those relationships.
Katrina Loewy is a Centennial-based Ambassador for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. While studying plant-insect interactions in graduate school, she worked with thousands of very hungry caterpillars. Katrina also studied dragonflies, fireflies, and tarantulas as a conservation biologist for the Butterfly Pavilion.
Once registered, the Zoom link will be sent out Tuesday morning before the webinar in the program reminder email. All registrants will then get the link to the recording within a week after the webinar.
