Member Zoe T. has been working on a pollinator garden at her partner's place of work.  Advanced Space is  footing the bill and providing volunteers as well.  Some of Zoe  has had to bump up at her house has been plants for this project!  We're inviting Wild Ones Front Range members to help out at strategic points.  This Friday and Saturday,  folks will be planting bare root native shrubs.

From Zoe:

We're planting native bare root shrubs as part of a project at a field owned by a Westminster aerospace company called Advanced Space. They don't plan to build anything on the land and they would like to make it a space for employees to enjoy as well as one that supports the local wildlife.

Time:  4-6pm Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th from 10am-12pm. Join for one or both!

Location: Open field next to Advanced Space (1400 W 122nd Ave, Westminster, CO 80234). Meet in parking lot in front of the Advanced Space building. If you're running late, you can find us in the field next to the parking lot.

Physical requirements: fairly strenuous, as we'll be digging with shovels and hauling water over uneven ground.

Tools and supplies: Bring a water bottle, and wear long pants, closed toed shoes and work/gardening gloves. If you have any of the following items that you're willing to bring along, that would be immensely helpful!

Planting shovels

Backpack waterers

Portable water tanks

Picks (aka pick axes/pick mattocks)
