Join us as we revisit the major renovation of a mile-long stretch of Cherry Creek between Quebec and Iliff Streets in Denver, which was completed in 2022.  Before the renovation, this area was a wasteland with a deeply incised creek, few trees, lots of bare soil, and with a ragged collection of native and non-native plants.  In places the creek had dug a channel over twenty feet deep.

Of greatest interest to Wild Ones members, the area was fully re-planted with native forbs, grasses, shrubs and trees.  The grasses and forbs were all planted as seeds.  A Wild Ones tour occurred four years ago during its first year of recovery.  There was a lot of bare ground, but plants were growing.  Come see how the native plants are doing after four years.

Parking: Navigate to 1699 S. Trenton St., Unit 180, Denver, Co. 80231 on Google Maps. While this address is for a condo building, it will navigate you to the cul-de-sac where we will park, meet and access the trail. Please note that you must turn right (head west) on E.
