THIS EVENT IS CANCELED, WITH A NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!
Calling all members who are interested in volunteering at any Wild Ones events! Led by long-time children's outdoor educator and Wild Ones board member, Vicki Saragoussi Phillips, this workshop will equip volunteers with experiential activity ideas that will engage young children and their adult companions during various Wild Ones programs. Depending on the type of program, Vicki will model ways in which children and their adults can explore and discover the plant world, how it connects to the greater biodiverse habitat and ultimately lead to seeking out interest in the importance and benefits of native planting in your local environment. This hybrid event will help you gain the confidence to engage with families at Wild Ones events.
Depending on the interest of activity options, we’ll discuss ideas for developing a simple activity starter kit for the regions to have available for volunteers involved.
you don’t need to know a ton about natives to do this! This is not meant to be designed as a drop off program for children. Adults must be present.
In-person space limited, unlimited online.
